Danger Below Stonebridge

The tremors began three nights ago.

At first, the people of Stonebridge dismissed them as quirks of the old riverbed — a shudder here, a rattle there. But then the cracks appeared. Thin as spiderwebs at first, then widening, splitting cobblestones, swallowing tools, carts… and yesterday, a man.

Now the town feels stretched thin. Market stalls stand half‑abandoned. Doors are barred even in daylight. Every so often, the ground gives a low, uneasy groan, as if something deep below is shifting in its sleep.

You’ve been summoned to the town hall, where Mayor Elira Thornbrook waits with dark circles under her eyes and a map of Stonebridge covered in frantic ink marks. She looks up as you enter — relief and fear wrestling across her face.

“Thank the gods you’re here. We don’t have much time. People are vanishing. The streets are cracking open. And some swear they’ve seen… shapes… moving beneath the stones.”

Another tremor rolls through the floorboards, dust drifting from the rafters.

Elira steadies herself.

“Whatever is happening down there — I need you to find it. And stop it. Before Stonebridge falls into the earth.”

The room falls silent.

The ground rumbles again.

And somewhere below, in the dark, something answers.

Dragonbane is a fast-paced, high-fantasy tabletop RPG focused on "mirth and mayhem," featuring easy-to-learn rules, low preparation, and a mix of dangerous, fast combat with a lighthearted, adventurous tone

Assume the role of a Vampire, an immortal being cursed with an unquenchable thirst for blood and vulnerability to sunlight – forever bound to your inner Beast (the animal urges of hunger, fear and rage). This is a game of personal horror, as you are continually forced to walk a moral tightrope between your need to survive and the horrific means by which you must ensure it.
